Converse Chuck Taylors (Chuck Taylor shoes) paintings, are released as a very limited edition print (100 total) by California Artist Scott West for his 2004 SHOES Show and the August Second Saturday Art Walk in Sacramento. The limited edition Converse Chuck Taylors high-top style pop-art print will feature a purple, pink, orange and yellow pair of the artist’s shoe paintings. West will be showing pieces from his 2004 SHOES Show in August with Insane Gallery in Sacramento, The Body Tribe Gallery in Sacramento, Plantation and BT’s in Elk Grove, California, and Lugansk Gallery in Lugansk Ukraine.

Sacramento, CA August 12, 2004 — California Artist Scott West has released a colorful limited edition print of Purple, Pink, Yellow and Orange Converse Chuck Taylor style high-top shoes for his 2004 International SHOES Show dates. Virtuoso violinist Sasha Tkacheff (Sasha’s Violin) and famed rock guitarist Timmy Barnes, formerly with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Stoneground & The Bluesrockers, will perform with ISLAND (Scott West Band) for the first INSANE SATURDAY CONCERT at 10 PM August 14th at the Insane Galleries in Midtown Sacramento. http://www.ScottWestBand.com
Tkacheff will be playing at the California State Fair on September 1, 2004 and Barnes will be playing with his 9-year-old “Stevie Ray Vaughan” protege Shane Tiller at the California State Fair on September 4th and 5th. Barnes indicated via telephone that Bluesrocker frontman Mick Martin would most likely be sitting in with Shane Tiller’s band and that Barnes might be reunited with his former Bluesrocker bandmates for a few songs during the Bluesrocker’s set.

Scott West will also be performing with the California Alternative Band “OUT OF PLACE” and California singer-songwriter Meghan Baker at BT’s Place in Elk Grove, California on August 21rst at 7 PM and will continue his current Art Show at BT’s until August 11th. “Our drummer, David Bunker has been in the Caribbean these past few weeks, so we will have Out Of Place drummer Lucas Thompson sitting in with us. It’s always great to play with Out Of Place and Lucas is an incredible musician. I’m sure it will be another standing room only Saturday with Out Of Place and Meghan on the bill.” West will be headlining the last Open Aire Concert of the summer in Old Town Elk Grove, California on September 2, 2004 at 8 PM.
