This smell, is generally a common problem in athletic shoes, however this problem can be with found within any shoe.

Having this problem can be a nightmare for some, as they can be quite intimidated to go to someones else’s home, and are politely asked to remove their shoes. As they may be forced to explain why they can’t or don’t realize they do smell when they do remove their shoes. When people suffer from shoe and foot odor it can be an embarrassing situation and many struggle with it as soon as they remove their shoes, when there is other people involved.

Here are some tips on helping with the odor:
Place cat litter, or something similar in a pair of socks tie it at the end to stop the litter from falling out. Place the sock in the shoe and leave it there for overnight. This litter can absorb the moisture within the shoe and help with the odor. If you don’t have this try leaving your shoes somewhere where they can be ventilated as another choice of option.

You can also put a small about of baking soda in the shoe and place the pair of shoes in a room for the night. Leave them placed on the floor, or somewhere out of the way. Before, you wear your women shoes remove the baking soda. This will maintain the smell of the odor that is coming from the shoe.

Try spraying the shoe with a shoe deodorant spray. This helps with the smell and contains it just like normal deodorant sprays. This deodorant spray needs to completely dry, before you decide to wear the shoes again, otherwise you will get a wet foot if you don’t.

Another choice of option, is to buy some odor neutralizing insoles that are for your shoes. You can place them in your shoes, on a regular basis and these insoles have to be replaced once a month.
